REFLECTION
Reflection
The sub-genre that I am thinking of doing for my final project is a Horror Thriller as there is a more variety of objects or storylines that I could use as a Horror Thriller purpose is to bring the audience on the edge of their seats and scare them/confuse them. This links to my idea as I want to relate to a murdered getting away with killing somebody (or do they). I feel like this would be a good "storyline" as it can intrigue the audience to find out about what happens to the main character. The characteristic that I will include is to try and film in an ideal thriller location (a forest), the lighting would ideally be a low-key lighting - dark colours, a lot of black and a blue undertone on certain clips to help create amore suspenseful atmosphere and create tension. I will use a lot of close-ups on people faces or key movements to help the audience what I am trying to portray and help them understand who the main character would be. I will stick to some stereotypes such as a women being the victim, the police struggling to find the murdered and the camera angles and music changes throughout the scene, this means a lot of medium and close-up shots, also a few establishing shots to help the audience understand where they are or where the scene is located. I will do this by doing multiple takes, so I can make sure I get the right angle and shot to make sure that the clip looks perfect. Throughout my research I have found out that the conventions and stereotypes in Thrillers are key as they help give off the message, that is different from the rest this is done by changing some character conventions, or M-E-S.
