Title of the Film Script 

 

C1 = Ted Phillips – Protagonist (main character)

C2 = Autumn Hill – Dog walker (the victim)

Extras – Family members 

 

Scene 1 

 

The setting – The forest, at night, low-key lighting, women walking her dog, there is no other people walking around meaning she is alone. Around 8:00 at night. Music playing – what C2 is listening to, diegetic sound

 

Autumn Hill will be wearing everyday clothes – leggings, trainers and hoodie – hair will be down. The women is in her early 20s

 

Opening shot - Medium Close-up Shot of dog’s front body walking towards the camera in a forest. (5 seconds)

 

The camera shot slowly tilts upwards to show the young girl walking around, with headphones in listening to music. (2 seconds)

 

The branches of twigs start snapping (music stops) – sound of someone stepping on them. The facial expression of Autumn should be scared and confused as we get a closeup of her face. She takes one earphone out of her ear making the music come back but in the form of earphones. C2 continues walking – with caution. 

 

Closeup of someone’s body going past a tree or bush – C1 has arrived at the scene. 

 

Autumn (C2) shows fear expression on her face. 

 

Autumn

Hello… who’s there?

 

Extreme close up to her eyes to looking around showing fear 

 

This repeats – each time showing a different part of Ted Phillips body from different perspectives while each time the looks in the girl’s face will get more and more scared 

 

Autumn should start to breathe quicker. 

 

Ted should be getting closer to autumn every time and this will be shown  

 

Out of nowhere Ted will appear and try and tackle Autumn. Dog runs away as Autumn lets go of the leash.  

 

Camera flips back to show a point of view shot of Ted (C1) punching Autumn (C2) but both showing the struggle to win the “fight”. Autumn will be shown through a POV shot on the floor struggling (During this the name of the production company will appear – M&A Production.)

 

Screen fades to clack – name of film appears 

 

A montage starts 

 

First section of the montage of Ted Phillips in the shower and a few quick flashbacks to show what happened to Autumn Hill the camera is showing different sections of his body, each time there is a movement of some kind there will be a credit name appearing for 3 seconds each the order ideally will go like the following - first arm, flashback of him getting up from the ground and standing, leg, flashback to Ted Phillips starting to drag the girl across the floor leaving the woods, close up of his eye which will soon be covered by his hand to show that he is washing blood off of him, show him getting dressed into everyday clothes and starting to walk down the stairs to his family as he walks down the stairs we see that it is bright outside meaning it has been at least 12 hours since the attack. While the montage is occurring there will be snippets of the Kill Bill whistle when we see him dragging the body however, it should be very faint to help keep the tension. When the shot is back on ted there will be the diegetic noise of the water hitting the ground and some eerie music played on top. There will be a variety of different camera shots from long shots to extreme close ups. 

 

Scene cuts to different location – Kitchen 

 

In the KITCHEN we see the family of Ted Phillips sitting round a table eating lunch as a family. The camera does a slow 360° shot around the room. 

 

Father of Ted (showing concern)

Morning Son. What did you do last night, you didn’t come home till very late your mother and I were worried that you were hurt. 

 

Ted starts to slowly grin. The grin will be shown on a close up tracking out to be a medium shot. 

 

Ted 

I went on a walk. Nothing happened. 

 

As we start to hear the family chatter, the sound of Autumn’s muffled screams, as this happens the scene will slowly fade to show Autumn in a dark room tied to a chair with tape around her mouth. There should be (fake) blood dripping from the forehead as she got hit by a rock. Camera quickly cuts to show the door handle slowly turning and the door creaking as it opens to see Ted standing there with a bat in his hand. He presses record on a video camera (he does this for money). He starts to circle around Autumn and the scene ends with the camera showing Ted putting one hand on Autumn’s shoulder and the other ripping the tape off. Screen goes black while hearing a loud scream for help.
