Reflection on Ideas
After researching about different thrillers and different audience types. I changed my initial ideas to the following:
The type of thriller, that my piece will be is a psychological thriller. It is psychological because there is a lot of suspense being build up. It is showing the more mental side of the story rather than the action and intense scene it is focusing more on the danger and suspenseful scenes. Another reason I am aware that it is a psychological thriller is that the protagonist has gotten themselves in a dangerous situation. The elements of mystery are being incorporated such as dissolving sense of reality shown by the antagonist, this can create feelings of fear or create trauma and terror emotions.
The basic plot of the Thriller is that a young women (in her 20's) is walking around the woods at dusk, and this man (similar age) is following her, without the girl knowing. She hears the twigs snap and starts to try and run away but he gets her before she gets away and knocks her unconscious. There is a montage showing the opening credits along side him washing the blood off of himself - this is to create tension and worry between the characters and viewers as they do not know if the girl is still alive. After the montage we see the girl strapped to a chair in a dark room, this is where the scene will end.
