Editing Progress
17/05/2021
Recently, in the editing process of creating a Thriller, we are starting to put together the clips and downloading them onto Premier Pro. We have had many group discussions ranging from the colour of the shot to whether we should re-shoot it.
In the pictures above you can see us downloading the videos on the computer from OneDrive, this is the first stage in the editing process, to help make sure that we have access to all the videos needed to help make the opening. We went through all of the videos and decided which would be best to use, as we did multiple takes to get a variety of options.
This is when we made the group decision to decide to re-shoot the first scene, as there were not many camera angles and the quality was not good. We decided to film it again because we want it to match the storyline a bit better.
Here we are double-checking our videos to make sure they are the best takes. We did this as a group.
In the picture below, we have started to label all the shots with a description of what angle it is, and what is happening to help us be more accurate and aware of when we put these specific videos in the Thriller opening. While I did this, Abi was just finishing off the storyboard's final draft as we changed some ideas around and needed to include in the storyboard and the script.
As you can see here, we have started to put the videos all together for scene one. This is to help us get a rough idea of what the final piece will look like, of course we will have to editing the transitions and put more videos in, but this is the beginning stage. As we are putting together the clips, we had a discussion about the colours of the shots, and how they vary, we started to discuss how we can change them to all look similar to make sure they all give off the same feeling.
